Senior Pharmacy Technician - West Houston
The West Houston Pharmacy provides comprehensive oncology-focused pharmaceutical services to support MD Anderson’s mission of delivering exceptional cancer care. Our team ensures safe, accurate, and timely medication dispensing, patient education, and collaborative care with physicians and clinical staff. The Ideal candidate will have a High school diploma and a Certified Pharmacy Technician with at least two years of Pharmacy Technician experience. They demonstrate a commitment to patient-centered care in an ambulatory oncology setting. While hospital pharmacy experience (6 months or more) is preferred, the candidate should excel in accuracy, communication, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.
Working Hours: This will be 10:00am – 6:30pm. No holidays or weekends.

Education
- Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Preferred: Certificate from an accredited Pharmacy technician training program.
- Preferred: Two years of college credit.
Work Experience
- Required: 2 years Pharmacy technician experience in a hospital, infusion center or retail pharmacy.
Licenses and Certifications
- Required: PHTR - Reg Pharmacy Technician Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP). Upon Hire
- Preferred: CPHT - Certified Pharmacy Technician Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Upon Hire
- Preferred: Current Intravenous Medication Certification (IV-Sterle Products) approved by the Accreditation Counsel for Pharmacy Education (ACPE). Upon Hire
Other Requirements: Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
