Maintains investigational drug accountabilityPerforms daily audits of the Investigational Drug/Supplies in the assigned areas to ensure accuracy and accountability including identification and resolution of system discrepancies.Manages an adequate inventory in work areas. Includes but is not limited to supply/drug replacement, evaluation of usage/stock levels/re-orders, and adjustments if appropriate.
Facilitates inventory managementAssists in the tracking of the drug returns, replacements, and management of expired inventory using specific databases and departmental tools. Continuously tracks inventory and isolates expired stock to ensure proper quarantine of unusable stock. Informs the pharmacy and sponsors of any upcoming expiration dates on any inventory currently in stock and encourages the use of those expiration dates first. Assists in processes of Drug Returns/Expired Medication Destruction and supplies according to sponsor, institutional, state and federal guidelines for handling of expired investigational drugs and supplies
Maintains regulatory documentationManages and maintains protocol documentation as required by institutional, state, and federal guidelines. This includes but is not limited to Shipment Receipt Documentation, iDATA transactions, documentation materials (i.e. labels, production cards)
