Sr Computational Scientist - Omics Data

EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Science, Engineering or related field.

Preferred: Master's degree or PhD computer science, quantitative science, bioinformatics, biostatistics, or a related field.

EXPERIENCE:
Required: Nine years of experience in scientific software programming with a concentration in scientific computing. With Master's degree, seven years experience required. With PhD, five years of experience required.

Preferred: Ideal Candidate will have:
•With a Ph.D. degree in computer science, quantitative science, bioinformatics, biostatistics, or a related field.
•With experience in processing and analyzing single-cell multi-omics, and/or spatial omics data;
•With three-year experience in scientific software development;
•Proficiency in at least one programming languages such as R, Python, JAVA, etc.
•Experience with Linux server administration and data management and cloud computing is required.
•Must be honest, highly motivated, reliable, responsible, well organized and a careful record keeper with good attention to details.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required as well as the ability to work well in a collaborative and interdisciplinary team environment.
•Strong attention to detail, multi-tasking and a willingness to learn new technologies is encouraged.
