SUMMARY
Performs advanced technical assignments related to the maintenance and operation of diagnostic imaging units and other complex radiation-producing equipment found in a diagnostic imaging facility.
Scope
Impacts imaging equipment functionality and performance of image quality control in Diagnostic Imaging.
Shift / Hours: Monday - Friday / 7am - 4pm
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Essential Job Functions
Responsible for oversight of all division equipment service issues.
Coordinates and oversees activities between service vendors and Diagnostic Imaging.
Assists with analysis and implementation of service contracts.
Provides direction to radiological engineers on equipment malfunctions and determines appropriate corrective actions.
Identifies operator errors and provides instructions/feedback to operators.
Provides follow-up and suggests resolutions for Quality Control (QC) issues.
Maintains parts and instrumentation inventory.
Reviews design, construction and electrical drawings by visually reading blue print drawings and product specifications.
Evaluates equipment purchases.
Assists with commissioning of new equipment.
Provides clinical systems network support and assists in ongoing development.

Experience Required: Eight years experience in electronics or imaging equipment service, equipment installation, or construction management to include one year of supervisory experience.
May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience or training on a one to one basis. If you do not have an Associate's Degree, you must have 10 years of related experience.
Preferred Experience: With preferred degree, three years of required experience.
