Summary:

The Student Extern position is an opportunity for a student to learn job skills while working in areas of technology, digital and/or innovation.  They will be given tasks including analysis and creation of deliverables under supervision of the team. ​ 

​​Research, analysis, and educational materials development​  ​
Provides analytical support in a team environment to develop data and AI literacy materials. This role will also work with team members across MD Anderson to outline needed resources and impactful educational methods. The student extern may also work independently on short-term sub-project work.​ 

​​Create Deliverables and Communicate Learning​  ​
Create deliverables such as use cases/case studies, curated third-party content, animations, posters, demos, etc. within an agreed topic focus area. Share learnings through the development process to inform future program development. 

​​Support execution of Data Literacy Month​   
​Support the creation of materials and execution of events for Data Literacy Month. ​ 

Other duties as assigned

Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent. College bound or in-college students.

Preferred Education: Bachelor’s or Master's degree.

Required Experience: No experience is required. 

Preferred Experience: ​Experience in policy research, data analysis, report writing.  

Work Schedule: Onsite and remote. Must be flexible.
