Provide oversight for the inquiry and exception management functions associated with accounts payable.

Key Functions
  • Supervision of the Accounts Payable Invoice processing team, as well as the Inquiry management, Exception management, and Document management teams, while complying with the management of the institution’s liabilities and maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations, UT System, Regent Rules and other institutional policies. 
  • Responsible for timely and accurate processing of payment cycles, voided checks, Treasury requests. Record wire payments daily.
  • Resolve denied vouchers, buyer messages, MMS messages, recycled voucher daily.
  • Daily monitoring of AP system generated jobs.
  •  Escalate failed jobs to AFS. 
  • Bi-monthly uploads of PBS and payroll jobs.
  • Complete Employee Education Event (EEE) and Cultural Competence Training through the Education Center, as well as, at least 2 of the 4 development courses on the Supervisor Track (Principles & Practices of Management I, Performance Management, Situational Leadership A, Managing Across Difference I).
  • Performs special projects and duties as assigned.




Required:  Five years of experience in an accounting environment, with emphasis in accounts payable. Working knowledge of PeopleSoft.

Preferred:  Five years of experience in hospital accounting, or leading large Accounts Payable teams.



Required:  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or business related field



Required:  None

Preferred: CAPP (Certified Accounts Payable Professional)
