Training Specialist opportunity in Leadership Institute


SUMMARY


The primary purpose of the Training Specialist is to impact the effectiveness of institutional learning by delivering a world-class training and educational experience to leaders at all levels and across all departments of the organization.  These training programs will be designed, developed and delivered in support of the strategies developed by the Division of Human Resources to support the institution's strategic learning objectives. 

 

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

Training Delivery and Design  Trains leaders, inclusive of faculty and executive, in courses that comprise the Leadership Institute Curricula.  This includes mastery of subject matter, effective and consistent delivery of content, continuous program evaluation and improvement, and the updating/maintenance of all course related materials (instructor guides, participant manuals, electronic presentations, etc.). 

 

Facilitator Interventions  Diagnoses training needs/conducts assessments for leaders and their teams. Plans and facilitates training solutions to address any appropriate training issues to include simulation. 

 

Evaluation and Metrics   Participates in institutional and community based events that promote education and personal/professional development.

 

Other duties as assigned

Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.

Preferred Education: Master’s Level Degree

 

Required Certification: None

Preferred Certification: Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) qualified; Real Colors; certification in other training programs such as Achieve-Global, Franklin Covey, DDI, PDI, Blessing-White, or others.

 

Required Experience: Seven years experience in human resources or related field in developing, coordinating and delivering employee development programs for all levels of employees and management.  May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience or completed years of college on a one to one basis

Preferred Experience: Seven or more years experience as a senior Human Resources consultant.  Experience in a leadership or management role; experience delivering management training programs in a healthcare environment.
