Ultrasound Technologist / Woodlands

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound procedures and provide exceptional patient care. This role operates in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment where clinical excellence, accuracy, and compassion are essential.
Shift / Hours: Monday - Thursday (10 hr shift) / 7am-530pm
Key Responsibilities
Technical Imaging & Clinical Competency
- Perform high‑quality ultrasound exams using approved protocols and procedures.
- Conduct routine, immediate care, portable, on‑call, biopsy, and intraoperative ultrasound procedures.
- Apply sterile or aseptic technique and administer contrast agents when appropriate.
- Review, code, and charge completed studies accurately.
- Recognize and communicate significant or pathological findings to radiologists.
- Maintain competency in routine exams; perform specialized procedures with minimal assistance.
- Conduct equipment quality assurance and report any image quality issues.
Patient Care & Safety
- Provide safe, compassionate care to patients across all age groups.
- Correctly identify patients using approved identifiers and follow all safety precautions.
- Respond to patient distress and emergency situations following established procedures (DIURT, CODE, etc.).
- Maintain safe, clean, organized work areas and ensure proper supply levels.
- Follow ALARA and Image Gently principles.
- Execute downtime procedures and coordinate with supervisors as needed.
Communication, Service & Productivity
- Communicate professionally and promptly with patients, families, physicians, and clinical partners.
- Use communication tools (whiteboards, pagers, phones, email, etc.) responsibly and effectively.
- Maintain high productivity and assist team members to ensure smooth department flow.
- Manage patient flow efficiently to prevent delays.
- Provide thorough handoff communication at shift end.
- Work flexible schedules, including early/late shifts and rotational call (including holidays).

- Perform all additional tasks as assigned to support patient care and department operations.

EDUCATION
- Required: Graduation from an accredited program of ultrasound technology or radiologic technology.
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree Related field.
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Preferred: 2 years Experience in diagnostic ultrasound.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Required: RT(S) - Sonography American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Sonography (ARRT-S). Upon Hire or
- Required: RT(BS) - Breast Sonography American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Breast Sonography (ARRT-BS). Upon Hire or
- Required: RT(VS) - Vascular Sonography American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-VS). Upon Hire or
- Required: RVS - Reg Vascular Specialist Cardiovascular Credentialing International Vascular Sonography. Upon Hire or
- Required: RDMS - Reg Diag Medical Sonographer American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). Upon Hire and
- Required: BLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
