Administrative Clerk
The Environmental Services (EVS) Department at MD Anderson’s Cancer Center plays a critical role in patient care that goes far beyond traditional cleaning. EVS professionals are responsible for thorough cleaning, sanitization, and disinfection in patient rooms, operating suites, waiting areas, and all areas of the hospital. EVS teams use specialized knowledge, precision, and discipline to create safe environments that support healing. Their attention to detail directly impacts patient outcomes, ensuring that medical providers can deliver care in the safest possible setting.
The primary purpose of the Administrative Clerk is to dispatch Maximo calls, monitor attendance calls and dispatch Epic discharge information to all of Housekeeping.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and skilled in dispatching calls, monitoring attendance, and coordinating discharge information to support Housekeeping operations. Strong communication skills, reliability, and the ability to manage routine clerical tasks make them well-suited to ensure efficiency and accuracy in this role.
Shift: 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM Monday - Friday and Weekends
Salary: Minimum 37,450.00 - Midpoint $ 42,725.00 - Maximum $ 48,000.00
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Compiles and arranges complex data from Premise System in a usable format to disseminate to Room Turnaround Team Leader.
- Composes and processes repetitive and non-repetitive documents in accordance with established procedures.
- May use complex software system to update and retrieve information.
- Answers phone, conveys messages, runs errands and makes copies.
- Prepares and audits varied reports.
EDUCATION
Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred: College level courses in business practices or business administration.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required: 3 years Performing administrative or responsible clerical work.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
