Summary

 The primary purpose of the Associate Vice President & Campaign Director (“Campaign Director”) position is to drive the strategy and execution of all activities related to the institution’s comprehensive multi-billion-dollar campaign.  This executive-level staff position serves as an integral member of the Senior Leadership Team for the Development Division and works in close collaboration with team leads across Development and Institutional Advancement.  This position will work across teams and across the institution to identify and develop institutional priorities into compelling, prioritized funding opportunities.  The Campaign Director will oversee strategy and analytics related to the campaign, to advance movement within major and principal gift pipelines to meet fundraising goals.  This position will partner with the Senior Vice President in managing the Campaign Steering Committee and related volunteer leadership, and serve as a secondary departmental liaison with the president’s office.  This position will manage a select donor portfolio.

 Requirements                             
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, journalism, public relations, communications or related field.
  • At least 10 years of direct experience in the development field or related enterprise.
  • Deep understanding of fundraising best practices and their implementation within and across teams.
  • Evidence of strong communication skills, relationship building skills, team orientation, and an ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills reflected in an ability to work effectively with senior management personnel, professional colleagues, and prospects.
  • Ability to work independently, handle multiple assignments, organize workflow, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
 
Preferred:
  • Master’s degree in business or related field.
  • Experience in healthcare or higher education fundraising.
  • Certification or training in project or change management.
  • Certification or training in data or business analytics.
  • Professional certification in CFRE or FAHP.
