CADD/BIM Specialist
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
Staff comes in every other Wednesday and when required to be onsite (meetings, field work, etc.).

SUMMARY
The primary purpose of the CADD Specialist position in EBSM BIM/FIM is to provide drawing maintenance and support for the consolidation of information from facility change events into master drawing files managed in the electronic document management system. Under the guidance of others the CADD Specialist uses technical knowledge to investigate the drawing database and maintain accuracy to field conditions and quality standards. Ensures the data integrity is maintained throughout the lifecycle of master drawings and in the production of drawing reports.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Electronically produces drawings according to task assignments. Plot master file drawings as requested. Organizes and maintains departmental drawing files. Assists with maintaining department's technical reference library and database. Assists in the development of record documents of "as built" conditions. Assists with field inspections and verification of existing conditions.
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:
Maintains existing condition master drawings Capable of reading and understanding all disciplines and building systems of as-built construction documents to add as-built information to existing “master files” using CAD. This includes Mechanical (HVAC, HVAC Piping, Risers), Electrical (Lighting, Power, Security Special Systems, Onelines, Risers), Plumbing (Medical Gas, Plumbing Piping, Risers), Architectural, and Civil (Underground Utilities).
Ensures drawing accuracy to field conditions Applies knowledge of construction practices to investigate the details of drawing content and maintains accuracy to field conditions. Collaborates with internal A&E and O&M teams to coordinate verification.
Maintains required drawing data integrity Maintains data integrity in applied technologies through quality control procedures (MDACC CAD Standards) and the use of employed electronic document management practices.
Other duties as assigned
Required: High school diploma or equivalent. One year experience. Specialized CADD training can be substituted for experience.
