Qualifications:
· M.D. or equivalent degree
· Minimum 7 years academic experience in clinical pathology to include direct, progressive administrative duties which incorporate a high-volume multidisciplinary testing facility
· Demonstrated excellence in the practice of laboratory medicine as defined by standards set forth by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners, the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, and the College of American Pathologists.
· National recognition and proven track record in clinical and/or laboratory research
· Demonstration of leadership qualities essential to effective problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation
· American board certified in Clinical Pathology (or equivalent training, if American board certification is not feasible)
· Eligible for full and unrestricted Texas medical licensure
