Director, High Level Disinfection (HLD) & Sterilization
Education
Required: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or healthcare discipline.
Experience
Required: Eight years managerial experience in a clinical setting to include 2 years of experience in high-level disinfection and/or sterilization.Successful completion of the LEADing Self Accelerate program may substitute for one year of required supervisory or management experience. Additional years of related experience may be substituted for the required degree on a one-to-one basis.
Certification/Licensure
Required: One of the following: Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) by the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materials Management (IAHCSMM).
Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) by the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materials Management (IAHCSMM).
Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor (CFER) by the Certification Board of Sterile Processing and Distribution, Inc. (CBSPD).
Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS) by the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materials Management (IAHCSMM).
Certified Healthcare Leadership (CHL) by the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materials Management (IAHCSMM).
Certified Sterile Processing Distribution Technician (CSPDT) by the Certification Board of Sterile Processing and Distribution, Inc. (CBSPD).
Certified Sterile Processing Management (CSPM) by the Certification Board of Sterile Processing and Distribution, Inc. (CBSPD).
Certified Surgical Instrument Specialist (CSIS) by the Certification Board of Sterile Processing and Distribution, Inc. (CBSPD). Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
Certified Nurse - Operating Room (CNOR) by the America Board for Specialty Nursing Certification and the National Commission for Certifying Agencies.
