Director, Quality Management Programs & Cancer Network
EDUCATION
Required: Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare or related field
Preferred: Master’s degree in business administration or related field
CERTIFICATION
Preferred: Certified Professional in-Patient Safety (CPPS), Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ). Formal training and certification in an official quality improvement methodology such as Lean/Six Sigma, Total Quality Management, and/or Agile.
EXPERIENCE
Required: A minimum of seven (7) years of related healthcare experience, to include management and leadership responsibilities.
A minimum of 10 years of related experience within a healthcare/business environment, including detailed management skills.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Five years’ experience and track record in process improvement.
Experience with Vizient metrics, data, and risk models.
Experience with CMS and other Federal Quality Programs
Experience utilizing benchmarking to drive improvement
Excellent communication and influencing skills, including management of cross functional teams
In-depth knowledge of health care delivery for oncology patients, in particular multidisciplinary care
Proven ability to identify opportunities for improvement, analyze root causes, and develop and implement effective solutions
Superior skills in strategic and financial analysis as well as strong communication and presentation skills
Experience in developing and implementing performance improvement initiatives to improve quality of care, patient safety, and operational efficiency.
Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, scope, schedule, budget, and execute projects.
Experience in change management, and the ability to effectively manage change and overcome resistance to new processes.
