As a core member of our Human Resources Talent team, the Recruitment Specialist plays a critical role in identifying, assessing, and engaging high-caliber executive talent for senior-level search assignments. This position requires exceptional research acumen, strategic relationship management, and sophisticated candidate assessment capabilities. The role serves as a vital partner to the Executive Recruiter and the Executive and Physician Search organization, providing comprehensive candidate intelligence and development support throughout the search lifecycle.

KEY FUNCTIONS
Candidate Development
• Conduct sophisticated research to identify and map executive talent across industries, functions, and geographies using advanced search methodologies, competitive intelligence, and proprietary databases.
• Develop comprehensive target lists and organizational mapping for complex C-suite and senior leadership searches.
• Leverage industry networks, professional associations, and digital platforms to build robust pipelines of exceptional candidates.
• Conduct initial candidate screenings to evaluate qualifications, career trajectory, leadership competencies, and cultural alignment with requirements.
• Prepare detailed candidate profiles, assessments, and presentation materials that synthesize professional backgrounds, accomplishments, and strategic fit.
Candidate Management:
• Post and manage requisitions in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
• Track candidate progress in the ATS, communicating status updates throughout the recruitment process.
• Update and maintain internal Candidate Relationship Management (CRM) system.
• Manage LinkedIn project database to effectively house prospects, sources, and candidates, ensuring data integrity and easy accessibility.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with high-potential executives, serving as a trusted advisor throughout their career progression
• Ensure an exceptional candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
Process Management:
• Work closely with Executive Recruitment Coordinators to schedule client meetings, coordinate interviews, and manage assessment requests.
• Regularly update internal databases with the most current search information.
• Collaborate with the Visa Office to facilitate work authorization processing and approvals as required.
• Provide timely updates to Clients, Candidates, and the Executive and Physician Search team throughout the recruitment process to ensure transparency and efficiency.
Technical & Systems Proficiency
• Demonstrated expertise leveraging AI-powered sourcing and research tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, generative AI platforms) alongside industry-leading search technologies including LinkedIn Recruiter, BoardEx, RelSci, SignalHire, ZoomInfo, Lusha, SeamlessAI, and applicant tracking systems
• Advanced research capabilities including Boolean search, competitive intelligence gathering, and database mining
• Ability to integrate AI capabilities into research workflows for enhanced candidate discovery, market mapping, competitive analysis, and automated outreach while maintaining personalized, high-touch engagement
EDUCATION
Required: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent MD Anderson recruitment experience on a one to one basis.
Preferred: Master's Degree
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required:
7 years of professional recruitment, human resources, or project management experience.
Experience leveraging advanced sourcing tools and platforms and applying advanced search and talent mapping techniques to identify, engage, and build high-quality candidate networks.
Preferred: 7 years of healthcare recruitment experience.
