Seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager with a strong background in safety management focused on Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems within healthcare and medical environments. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing complex construction projects, ensuring the meticulous integration of MEP systems while adhering to the highest safety standards and healthcare regulations. Certified Health Care Constructor (CHC) from the American Hospital Association is strongly preferred. 

SUMMARY

The primary purpose of the Construction Safety Project Manager position is to maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines in the institutional construction safety specifications including but not limited to Job Hazard Analysis, permit review and other risk mitigation activities. To impact Institutional construction projects, evaluate risks to employees, patients, and our buildings. to eliminate unplanned events of building systems or spaces which would impact business operations including patient care and research operations.

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

Program Implementation

Provides professional knowledge and expertise to construction teams to minimize risk of unplanned events including injuries and damage to buildings that interrupts operations.

Program Support

Assists in the development of technical specifications, job hazard analysis for construction projects, develops mitigation steps to reduce risk of unplanned events from occurring. Implements permits and other mitigation programs. Will be required to be onsite for any high-risk portions of the projects, in person meetings. May work hybrid depending on project schedules and business needs.

Compliance

Evaluates construction projects preconstruction, during construction and post construction to minimize the risk of unplanned events. Proposes interventions and has the authority to stop work until issues are resolved. This position will be required to enter information into a hand held device in the field to document findings.

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Architectural Engineering or related field. Three years of project management/construction management experience. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.
