Infection Control Manager - CIC
Education
Required:
• Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare related field
Preferred:
• Master’s Degree in Public Health, Biostatistics, Nursing, or Epidemiology
Work Experience
Required:
• Seven years of patient care experience or healthcare agency to include three years in a supervisory/management level position in infection prevention and control
Successful completion of the LEADing Self Accelerate and/or LEADing Self Discover programs may substitute for one year of required supervisory or management experience. Completion of both programs can be substituted for a maximum of two years of supervisory or management experience.
Licenses and Certifications
Required (upon hire):
• CIC – Certified in Infection Control: Certification Board of Infection Control
Preferred (upon hire):
• RN – Registered Nurse: Current State of Texas Professional Nursing license (RN) OR
• MT – Medical Technologist: American Society of Clinical Pathologist Board of Registry (BOR) OR
• M(ASCP) – Technologist in Microbiology: American Society of Clinical Pathologist Board of Registry (BOR) OR
• CLS – Clinical Laboratory Scientist: American Society of Clinical Pathologist Board of Registry (BOR)
Other Requirements
• Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
