Innovation Human Factors Principal

Key Responsibilities
Design Human-Machine Hybrid Interactions
- Lead and create human-machine experience models and holistic design systems.
- Develop service blueprints, user stories, prototypes, and visual storytelling for complex healthcare environments.
Recognize Complex Patterns
- Gather and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data for large-scale projects.
- Drive systemic interventions by identifying patterns in human-machine hybrid environments.
Empathetic Design
- Ensure design decisions across all project stages are empathetic to human needs and limitations.
- Balance functional clarity with emotional impact in user experiences.
Apply Design Thinking
- Use design-led thinking to create multi-channel ecosystems and future healthcare experiences.
- Develop visually engaging narratives and involve stakeholders in the design process.
Strategic Thinking & Leadership
- Solve complex problems using multiple approaches and tools.
- Contribute to the Innovation Center’s strategic vision and evangelize innovation across the institution.
Other Duties
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to support departmental goals.
EDUCATION
- Required: Bachelor's Degree
- Preferred: Master's Degree
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Required: 8 years In human-computer interaction, human factors, cognitive or experimental psychology or related field. or
- Required: 6 years In one of the above mentioned areas with preferred degree.
- Preferred: Human Center Design with applied experience evaluating, designing, and/or deploying AI-based systems, robotics experience, Human Factors experience evaluating human system interaction and identifying risks, experience with service blue prints, human machine models, journey/workflow mapping. Predictive analytics / algorithmic decision tools experience, conversational AI or autonomous agent workflows, emerging technology problem‑solving.
