Manager, Medical Staff & Credentialing Services

Education

Required: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration.

Experience

Required: Five years of supervisory experience in a medical staff credentialing environment.

May substitute required degree with additional years of experience on a one to one basis.

Preferred: Experience and knowledge of credentialing software.  Knowledge of Managed Care Processes and requirements. Knowledge and understanding of Health Plan Credentialing. Experience with Echo software is a plus.

License/Certification

One of the following are required:

• Certification by the National Association of Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) as a Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS)
• Certification from the Certification Council of National Association of Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) as a Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM).
