Medical Assistant - Brachytherapy

- Assist with brachytherapy procedures, including scrubbing and sterile tray preparation
- Support patient care activities such as greeting, rooming, vitals, and discharge
- Maintain procedural rooms and ensure timely turnover and stocking
- Collect and document biopsy specimens and patient information accurately
- Operate institutional systems for data entry and communication
- Perform sterile processing of instruments and adhere to OSHA standards
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to address patient needs and resolve conflicts professionally
- Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed
- Participate in unit projects to improve patient outcomes
- Provide superior customer service to patients, families, and colleagues
EDUCATION
- Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Preferred: Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program or US Military medical services training program.
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Required: 1 year Medical assistant experience. or
- Required: With preferred education no experience is required.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Preferred: CMA - Certified Medical Asst American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA). Upon Hire
- Preferred: RMA - Reg Medical Assistant American Society of Medical Technologists (AMT). Upon Hire
- Preferred: CCMA - Cert Clinical Medical Asst National Health career Association (NHA). Upon Hire
- Preferred: National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)-NCTT National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT). Upon Hire
- Preferred: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Upon Hire
