JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

Platform/Program Support  

  1. Provide comprehensive administrative support to the CARTOX Program clinical, regulatory and informatics efforts as well as the collaborating faculty and relevant external customers. Provide high level support for both internal and external meetings. 
  2. Compile data analyze, tabulate and graph them to help maintain compliance with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy (REMS) programs for standard of care cell therapy products and Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT) compliance for all cellular therapy products infused at MD Anderson. 
  3. Demonstrate technical proficiency required to do the job; possess up-to-date knowledge in the profession; provide technical expertise to others. Apply basic technical/functional knowledge to complete work.

Business Acumen 

  1. Work closely with the Cell Therapy Laboratory, Apheresis, and CARTOX Program leaders while mentoring one or more staff members
  2. Plan, direct, and coordinate program and administrative activities of a complex, interrelated and interdependent nature, where unknowns and numerous contingency factors are involved and obtain and analyze facts and solve problems while making administrative decisions.
  3. Coordination and management of all special projects to include human resources, compliance within the institution, FACT, and with FDA.
  4. Develop and maintain communications to support, enhance and expand awareness of CARTOX Program.
  5. Work with relevant departments to lead the FACT accreditation renewal application and inspection efforts.

Project/Relationship Management  

  1. Liaise between CARTOX Leaders, Cell therapy Institute leaders, and faculty/physicians to organize and maintain meeting series to meet and enhance education, safety, quality, and regulatory requirement from FACT and FDA
  2. Work with key IT and other key stakeholders to determine and co-develop the applications to meet CARTOX Program technological needs.
  3. Develop contingency plans to address performance gaps and manage departmental expectations.
  4. Refine, own and execute the vision, strategy and roadmap for the CARTOX Program in alignment with the key operations drivers of reliability, efficiency, agility and differentiation. 
  5. Identify critical CARTOX Program issues. Develop an operations plan to prioritize and resolve these issues.

  2. Provides transparent communication to members of the Cell Therapy Laboratories, the ACT Platform and the CARTOX Program.
  3. Demonstrates cultural competence that creates a welcoming environment for the differences represented within unit's staff.
  4. Participate in monitoring financial performance and management of operating budgets for the Cell Therapy Laboratories, the ACT Platform and the CARTOX Program. 

EDUCATION

Required: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field.

Preferred: Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field.

EXPERIENCE

Required: Five years project/program management experience. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis. Preferred degree may substitute for two years of required experience.
