Radiologic Technologist
Education
Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of an accredited program by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
Preferred: Bachelor in Science from a JRCERT program in Diagnostic Imaging or Radiologic Technology.
License/Certification
Required: All of the following:
· Medical Radiologic Technologist license (MRT) from the Texas Department of State Health Services
· American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography credentials.
· Basic Life Support for healthcare providers through the American Heart Association.
Preferred: Completion of certification in Bone Densitometry; Certified Bone Densitometry Technologist (CBDT) by the ISCD or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Bone Densitometry Equipment Operator
Experience
Required: None
Preferred: Two years’ experience in radiology.
