Regional Operations Coordinator - LBJ Admin Operations
The MD Anderson Oncology Program at LBJ Hospital is a collaborative initiative between MD Anderson, Harris Health, UTHealth Houston, and Baylor College of Medicine. Since 1995, the program has grown into a strong multidisciplinary team with faculty members across Medical, Gynecologic, Urologic, and Orthopedic Oncology.
We provide high quality cancer care to low-income and medically underserved patients in Harris County, offering multidisciplinary treatment for solid tumors and lymphomas.
Patients have access to MD Anderson–developed clinical trials at LBJ and the main campus, ensuring every patient receives top-tier, research driven care. This is an opportunity to join a mission focused program delivering meaningful impact in our community.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and four years of experience in a professional administrative capacity, to include at least one year in a coordinator/lead role. Administrative support experience that includes coordinating meetings, working on projects, handling timekeeping, and performing other administrative tasks is a plus.
The ability to multitask, work independently and as part of a team, think analytically, solve problems effectively, communicate clearly both verbally and in writing, and demonstrate strong organizational skills is a plus.
Shift: Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Salary: $45,500 – minimum $57,000 – midpoint $68,500 – maximum
SUMMARY
The primary purpose of the Regional Operations Coordinator position is to perform highly responsible operations support duties using independent judgment within defined departmental guidelines and according to departmental policies and procedures. Performs operational support tasks for the MD Anderson Oncology Program at Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital. Travel to LBJ and other sites is required.
KEY FUNCTIONS
• Oversees purchasing, expense tracking, and order processing using internal controls and reconciliation practices.
• Manages office supplies, inventory, and asset control, coordinating funding needs with program leadership.
• Serves as liaison between MD Anderson departments and Harris Health, supporting functional processes and interacting with multiple leadership levels.
• Communicates with vendors regarding equipment and service orders.
• Provides initial credentialing and re credentialing support for clinical and non clinical oncology staff.
• Coordinates clinic, inpatient, and on call schedules.
• Ensures standardized business cards, stationery, and promotional materials for all personnel.
• Supports the Program Manager and Regional Operations Director, including onboarding assistance.
• Acts as backup KRONOS timekeeper.
• Coordinates multidisciplinary conferences, maintaining CME credits and annual documentation.
• Maintains the MD Anderson and Harris Health faculty and staff master list along with documentation for required for immunization and mandatory trainings.
• Assists with events at MD Anderson and LBJ Hospital.
• Organizes monthly faculty meetings, including agendas and minutes. and employee recognition activities.
EDUCATION

Required: Four years of experience in a professional administrative capacity, to include at least one year in a coordinator/lead role. May substitute Bachelor’s degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one-to-one basis.
