Research Assistant I - Neurosurgery - Research
MISSION STATEMENT

Key Functions
- Conducts research experiments and projects.
- The applicant will coordinate and participate in scientific research projects under the direction of a professional staff member.
- Conducts florescence in situ hybridization experiments and carries out cell culture experiments to understand chromatin abnormalities in human brain tumor cells.
- Operates laboratory apparatus and equipment: Constructs, assembles and operates laboratory apparatus and equipment.
- Utilizes laboratory equipment to carry out experiments.
- Data gathering and analysis Keeps detailed, thorough notes of experiments in a lab notebook/electronic record in English, and routinely discusses data with supervisor.
- Records and interprets results from in vitro and in vivo experiments.
- Routinely presents at the lab meetings and submit abstract to national/regional scientific meetings
- Other duties as assigned
Education
Required: Bachelor’s degree with major course works in one of the basic sciences.
