Sr Administrative Assistant - Gastrointestinal & Colorectal Center
The ideal candidate for the Sr. Administrative Assistant position will provide high-level administrative support to the Gastrointestinal and Colorectal Center departments and will hold a high school diploma or equivalent, along with a minimum of five years of administrative or secretarial experience.
The candidate must be proficient in creating polished, professional PowerPoint presentations, have experience using Kronos for timekeeping, and demonstrate strong competency in Microsoft Excel. Exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast paced clinical and administrative environment are essential.
Shift: Monday – Friday 8-hour day shift between the hours of 7:30 am – 5:00 pm (hybrid/onsite)
Salary: $45,500 – minimum $57,000 - midpoint $68,500 – maximum

Summary
The primary purpose of the position is to provide administrative secretarial support to the Clinical Administrative Directors assigned centers and associated administrative /management staff.
Key Functions
1. Provides administrative support to the management and staff of the Center. Develop tools to assist staff perform their duties in an efficient manner including telephone lists, schedules and planning calendars. Uses independent judgment and complex analysis to gather facts and determine appropriate solutions to issues. Assists in strategic planning for the department.
2. Coordinates administrative activities for the department including processing confidential paperwork, maintaining Human Resource records: new employee orientation, performance appraisals, compliance and safety records, regulatory compliance, employee rewards and recognition and job information. Develops and determines priorities and monitors status of special projects including publications, posters, retreats, meetings, employee recognition and conferences. Interprets institutional policies for employees.
3. Manages and coordinates functions including maintenance of physical plant, physical inventory and space planning.
4. Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
Required: High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred: Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree.
EXPERIENCE
Required: Five years of administrative/secretarial experience.
Preferred: Three years of administrative/secretarial experience with an associate’s degree or one year of administrative/secretarial experience with a bachelor’s degree. Proficient in creating PowerPoint presentations, using Kronos for timekeeping, and have experience using Microsoft Excel and Word are essential.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
