EDUCATION: Graduate level theological degree from a college, university or theological school accredited by a member of the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. Equivalencies for graduate level theological degree will be granted by the individual professional organization according to their won established guidelines
Experience:
Required Two years as professional chaplain and/or spiritual care educator.
Experience Preferred Three year’s related ACPE supervisory and/or healthcare spiritual care ministry experience.
Licensure/Certification:
Required: Certification from the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) as a Certified Educator Candidate, Associate Certified Educator; or full Certified Educator. Certification as Chaplain by the Association of Professional Chaplains (APC), the American Association of Pastoral Counselors (AAPC), the National Association of Jewish Chaplains (NAJC), the Canadian Association for Pastoral Practice and Education (CAPPE/ACPEP), the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) or the National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC).
