Supervisor Operations & Maintenance
Salary: Minimum $92,500.00 – Midpoint $115,500.00 – Maximum $138,500.00
The typical work schedule is Wednesday – Saturday, weekend night shifts, full onsite presence required

• Supervise the safe maintenance, repair, and replacement of plant equipment and utility systems
• Ensure efficiency, productivity, and reliability of assigned infrastructure and MEP systems
• Supervise preventive maintenance processes and improve PM frequencies to enhance effectiveness
• Provide oversight of special systems including pneumatic tube, trash, and linen systems as assigned
• Supervise daily workload of craft and maintenance technicians
• Effectively schedule work, manage shift coverage, and ensure proper hand-off of backlog
• Manage employee workload, document staff performance, and track productivity metrics
• Provide input on hiring, evaluations, promotions, and training completion
• Ensure accurate labor and material documentation on all A and PM work orders
• Supervise work order status, time sheet accuracy, and asset accountability
• Monitor service contracts and negotiate with vendors and contractors
• Maintain assigned operating budget within +/- 2% variance and manage overtime within guidelines
• Manage customer response and communicate daily to ensure quality service with minimal callbacks
• Maintain interdepartmental relationships to maximize responsiveness to operational needs
• Supervise outages during assigned shift and support EOC program activities
• Provide leadership support for Joint Commission readiness and compliance initiatives
• Collaborate closely with other shifts, departments, Planner/Scheduler, and WCC team
• Track workload and schedule compliance using established metrics
• Lead support for energy initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
• Serve as essential personnel and respond to emergency events as required
EDUCATION
- Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Preferred: Associate's Degree Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field.
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Required: 5 years In one or more craft areas including three years lead/supervisory experience.
- Successful completion of the LEADing Self Accelerate and/or LEADing Self Discover programs may substitute for one year of required supervisory or management experience. Completion of both programs can be substituted for a maximum of two years of supervisory or management experience.
- Preferred: Ability to work within the Microsoft Windows environment and experience working within a CMMS environment.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Preferred: TDL - Texas Drivers License Valid Class A, B or C Texas driver's license and eligible to drive State and institutional vehicles. Upon Hire
- Preferred: Journeyman's license in one craft. Upon Hire
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
