Perioperative Services strives to be the safest perioperative environment in the world, to have the highest quality of perioperative outcomes, and to demonstrate the core values in our vision. Partnered with Anesthesiology and Critical Care, the Division of Nursing and the Division of Surgery, this multidisciplinary team performs more than 15,000 surgical cases each year in more than 30 operating rooms spanning the Main Building and Mays Clinic.

The primary purpose of the Associate Director of Perioperative Services is to plan, direct and implement multi-departmental financial, operational and programmatic functions for the Perioperative Enterprise.

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree and 6 years of leadership experience. Should also have experience implementing a Perpetual Inventory System and vendor management.

Develops, implements and manages effective administrative processes to maximize operational efficiency and quality outcomes.  Responsible for financial management including planning, decision-making, and forecasting of the operation, capital budgets and the justification of all expenditures.   Provides highly advanced analysis and develops long-range projections and financial plans.  Responsible for fiscal administration and integrity of Perioperative Enterprise including financial performance plan, purchasing, capital equipment, and monthly financial and management reports.  Participates in strategic planning of the Perioperative Enterprise regarding priorities, operational needs, patient care services, allocation of resources, and expansion of facilities, business practices, and quality improvement.  Assists with the development of long term strategic business and operations plans for the department.  Oversees the enterprise’s physical resources including space planning, inventory management, and property maintenance.

Other duties as assigned.

Required: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration or related field. 

Preferred: Master’s degree in Business or related field.

Required: Eight years of business or management experience to include project management experience in a healthcare environment. With preferred degree, six years of required experience.
